The legendary South African bassist is getting ready to perform a sold-out show at Untitled Basement in Braamfontein, ‘Africa Time Revisted’ on 16 August 2025.
Known for his soul-stirring bass and poetic presence, he describes his music as ‘Jazz Moya’, the jazz of the spirit.
“We inherit it from our forbearers. I believe that any African human being has done his or her own spirit… We are cultural people, we know of traditions, principles that were taught by those who came before us.”
