The CHOC Cyclethon with The Kolisi Foundation
When: Saturday, 23 August from 8 am to 1 pm
Where: Canal Walk Shopping Centre
About the event: South Africa’s premier stationary cycling charity event is a popular five-hour event packed with energy, great fun and entertainment, and draws crowds of shoppers and onlookers to the pulsing music and action-packed event.
Each hour of stationary bike cycling gives you options, so it is challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness.

Langebaan Half Marathon
When: Saturday, 23 August
Where: Langebaan Town Hall, Bree Street, Langebaan
About the event: Hit the scenic roads of Langebaan for this community-driven running event! Choose your distance: a 5km fun run (R40), 10km (R110), or the half-marathon 21.1km (R190).
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or a coastal Sunday run, this is your chance to soak in the beautiful scenery and connect with fellow runners.
The race kicks off at:
- 7 am for the half-marathon,

Greyton Brew Run 2025

About this event: Combine your love of running and craft beer at the Greyton Brew Trail Run! This fun, social event winds through the mountains, valleys, and farmlands surrounding Greyton, featuring scenic trails and several beer tasting stations along the way.

Big Bay Surf Challenge
When: Sunday, 24 August
Where: Big Bay Beach, Cape Town
About the event: Kick off the surf lifesaving season with a high-energy challenge hosted by the Big Bay Surf Lifesaving Club! This event tests endurance, skill, and teamwork across a mix of beach runs, surf swims, paddle legs, and Malibu board action.
The event continues after the surf with showers, snacks, bar, prize-giving and a lucky draw.

- Registration: 7:30 am
- Race start: 8:30 am (U13 & U14 Nippers, Lifeguards & Masters)
- Short course start: 8:45 am (Level 2 Nippers – 500m run instead of 1km)

- 1km beach run, 400m swim across Small Bay
- 500–600m Malibu paddle to Shark Tooth Island
- 600m second run and finishing surf swim
