Her calming voice and homegrown dishes have taken social media by storm.

Mbola takes her millions of followers along on journey through homegrown food in the seaside Eastern Cape village of Willowvale.

The MasterChef SA alumnus will now be putting everything she had learned into an upcoming book.

With the help of Jonathan Ball Publishers, Mbola will share her creations with the world.

Mbola says her goal is to simply share traditional Xhosa dishes with the world.

“When I started sharing my story, a lot of people were shocked because people don’t associate rural life with crayfish, mussels, and all that. To me, it’s such a norm... it’s been my whole life.”
