Orlando Pirates reach CAF Champions League semifinals

JOHANNESBURG – The final whistle sounds and the Buccaneers are through to the CAF Champions League semifinals.

Orlando Pirates fought hard for a 1-0 aggregate win over MC Alger on Wednesday evening.

The Soweto giants reached their first semifinal in the competition since 2013.

The Buccaneers went into tonight’s game with a 1-0 advantage after last week's first leg in Algiers.

Jose Riveiro's men were also involved in Betway Premiership action on Saturday after defeating Polokwane City 1-0.
