Police investigating after woman's body found on beach near Kalk Bay lighthouse

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found on a beach near Kalk Bay lighthouse.

The grim discovery was made by a passer-by, who reported it to police on Thursday morning.

Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie said that an autopsy was being conducted to determine the cause of death.

"We appeal to anyone with information regarding the discovery to call Crime Stop at 08600 10111," said Pojie.
