The school’s U17 netball team dominated on the international stage and brought home the title of World Schools Netball Cup Champions.
After an unbeaten domestic season, they became the first South African school to win the World Schools Netball Cup in England.
It was a clean sweep as they outplayed 46 teams from 29 schools across four continents.
An important aspect of getting to where they are was ensuring the team 'moved as one' and 'spoke the same language,' says Gray.
“Having everyone on the same page, speaking the same netball language, making sure that everyone from attack into the midcourt, and into the defence all know exactly what needs to be done.”
– Ashleigh Gray, Netball Coach - Redhill School
Captain Suhani Ahuja commended her team for the growth and perseverance they showed throughout the tournament.
After a rough end to the local league, it was important for the team to give their all in England.
“The growth between our team dynamic, we were all so ready to work together and ready to rise to the occasion.”
– Suhani Ahuja, U17 Netball Captain - Redhill School
