If you've ever accidentally stepped on a LEGO block, this story is impressive.
Gabrielle Wall from New Zealand sprinted barefoot across a 100-metre stretch of LEGO bricks in Christchurch, completing the seemingly painful dash in just 24.75 seconds, fast enough to earn her a place in the Guinness World Records.
“I think I probably ran faster than I would on a regular path just to get it over with,” Wall joked after achieving the record.
Following a health scare a few years ago, Wall said she began looking for more fun and unconventional experiences to check off her bucket list. While most people recoil at the thought of stepping on a single LEGO brick, she leaned into the challenge, quite literally, and decided to run across tens of thousands.
To prepare, Wall created a rather unusual training setup and relied on her experience as a mom.
“I had a wee kiddie pool in the garage filled with training LEGO, and I used to stomp around on it with my eyes closed, pretending I was crushing grapes for wine,” she told reporters.
The biggest comment online said, jokingly: "She's a mom, this is her average Tuesday night at bedtime."
