WC education dept confirms stabbing incident at J.G. Meiring High School

CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Education Department has confirmed that a Grade 11 pupil from JG Meiring High School in Goodwood has been injured in a stabbing incident.
It's alleged the learner was stabbed by an unknown suspect just outside the school on Monday afternoon, and was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
"Our district support team will be at the school tomorrow morning to provide counselling to learners and teachers, and SAPS will investigate the incident. We appeal to anyone with any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrator to contact SAPS immediately," said provincial education spokesperson Kerry Mauchline.
