JOHANNESBURG - Government’s failures in the last 30 years are among the reasons some Johannesburg residents says they have decided to put their faith in new political party, Rise Mzansi.
Thousands of the party’s supporters attended its final rally at the Ruimsig Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Criticism about unfulfilled promises of the current government also featured prominently in Rise Mzansi leader, Songezo Zibi’s address.

The African National Congress has listed student funding National Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), social grants and connecting townships to electricity as some of its major successes in the last 30 years.
However, Angelique Letoit, a 43-year-old Rise Mzansi supporter said the ANC could have done more.
“We really need new leadership, if only the ANC could have given us that I think that would have helped our country.”
Soweto resident, Neo Moabi said he’s more concerned about the country’s youth unemployment.
“We have to stand to demand what is owed, what is required and what is a basic need. That’s all we just want.”
Zibi said credible leaders are needed to lead the country.
The party’s Gauteng premier candidate Vuyiswa Ramokgopa says the province is in desperate need of leaders with the capabilities to address the many issues facing South Africans.
