SAFTU says workers on strike at Ford SA rejected court ruling to go back to work

JOHANNESBURG - Trade union federation SAFTU said that workers at Ford South Africa, affiliated to NUMSA have rejected a labour court ruling ordering them to return to their posts.
The labour court interdicted the strike declaring it unlawful and unprotected.
The workers downed tools this week over profit share that they want in addition to performance bonuses.
SAFTU's Trevor Shaku said that the workers want to continue with their strike.
"There wil be a series of consultations throughout the weekend and NUMSA and the workers will advise one another and we will hear from them as a federation, what decision have they taken."
