DURBAN - Disaster management teams are on high alert in KwaZulu-Natal following a warning of severe winds in the province.
The provincial Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs said they're on standby for any eventualities.

Department spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila said this will hit seven of the 11 districts.
“According to the warning, severe winds are expected in the districts of uMgungundlovu, Ugu, uThukela, Amajuba, Zululand, King Cetshwayo, and iLembe. Residents are urged to exercise utmost caution and prepare for the inclement weather conditions.”
He said the winds could be risky to humans and livestock.
