JOHANNESBURG - The Pretoria High Court is dealing with video evidence in the rape and sexual assault trial against prominent Pastor Stephen Zondo.

Zondo who is the Archbishop of the Rivers of Living Water Church is standing trial for the rape of at least seven women some of who were members of his church.

One of his alleged victims was just 8-years-old at the time in 1980.

Zondo has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

In the video before the court, a young woman who claims to be one of Bishop Stephen Zondo’s victims, can be seen seated next to her groom on their wedding day.

She claims Zondo who also allegedly raped her, gate crashed the wedding and insisted on officiating.

But the defence questioned the interpretation of proceedings in the video which were carried out in SeSotho.

They also claim certain words may have been translated with the incorrect meaning.

The lawyers in the matter have until Tuesday to sit with interpreters, listening to the two-hour video.

Thereafter  the state’s final witness a former interpreter in the court will take the witness stand.
