Amazon brings ‘The Sims’ movie to life with Margot Robbie

The Sims fans, your favourite simulation video game is coming to the big screen.
After months of speculation, Electronic Arts (EA) has confirmed that a movie based on the fan-favourite game is on the way.
EA is working with Amazon MGM Studios, Margot Robbie’s production company Lucky Chap and Loki director Kate Herron.
“Teaming up with renowned Hollywood powerhouses, this exciting new chapter for ‘The Sims’ will bring its magic to millions more fans,” says EA Entertainment President Laura Miele.

So, what will The Sims movie be about?
It will be rooted in the same universe and have classic game storylines.
“I’m sure a pool without a ladder is somewhere in there,” says Miele.
“We want this to be an experience that reflects all that amazing history and play of so many people in this world, but also is something that you can share across generations and to be part of pop culture and culturally relevant.”
