The 'Ke latlhile bokinza' hitmaker was hospitalised last month after falling ill while on tour in Botswana. 

JOHANNESBURG - Veteran gospel artist Solly Moholo has died.

His management confirmed to Eyewitness News that he passed away in hospital earlier on Wednesday. 

The 'Ke latlhile bokinza' hitmaker was hospitalised last month after falling ill while on tour in Botswana. 

Shortly after his hospitalisation, Moholo's family announced he needed over half a million rand to undergo brain surgery. 

The family has described him as a blessing to the country and made music that healed many of his fans.
