JOHANNESBURG - It is all systems go for the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL)'s economic freedom march in Johannesburg on Friday.

The league's president Collen Malatji will lead a march from the ANC's headquarters in the inner city to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)'s offices in Sandton.

The march aims to call for an inclusive economy and serve as a demonstration against rampant unemployment among the youth.

Speaking at a media briefing in Johannesburg on Thursday, ANCYL's Secretary General Mntuwoxolo Ngudle said there's an urgent need for economic reform.

"Tomorrow [Friday], the ANCYL march to the JSE is more than just a symbolic gesture, it is a direct confrontation with the financial heart of our economy that has systematically excluded the youth.
