JOHANNESBURG - Six out of seven learners have been discharged from the hospital in Mthwalume in another case of suspected food contamination.
According to the provincial Department of Health, the children consumed snacks from a local store and had to be rushed to hospital after falling ill.
Health officials have roped in the police to investigate the cause, while one more learner is still undergoing treatment in hospital.
This latest incident comes after numerous similar cases across the country, including six deaths recorded in Soweto earlier this month.
