SA's unemployment shrinks to 32.1% in third quarter

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa’s unemployment rate has decreased by 1,4% to 32,1% in the third quarter.
The figures from the latest Labour Force Quarterly Survey were released by Statistics South Africa (StatsSA) on Tuesday morning.
Statistician-General Risenga Maluleke says approximately 294,000 more people were employed in the third quarter than in the second.
He adds that employment increased in all sectors during the period under review except in private households - where it decreased by 32,000 jobs.
