Suspects linked to teen's kidnapping due in Cape Town court

Police say the girl, who was reported missing last week, has since been reunited with her family.

CAPE TOWN - Three suspects linked to the kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl in Samora Machel are set to appear in Wynberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie said the men were arrested in Parow earlier this week after an extensive investigation involving various police units.

Pojie said the girl, who was reported missing last week, had since been reunited with her family. 

"The three Burundi nationals are scheduled to make their first court appearance in Wynberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 20 November 2024 on charges of abduction."
