REVIEW: Unlock the Cape with Native Coffee Roasters inside Ginja at V&A Waterfront

Ute Hermanus reviews Native Coffee Roasters.

Listen below.

Native Coffee Roasters may just become your new favourite spot, especially if some of your favourite things include coffee, treats, magnificent views of Table Mountain, seal spotting and watching yachts sail into the harbour.

It's a modern and sleekly designed coffee shop on the water's edge at the V&A Waterfront, right next to the statues and opposite Time Out Market Cape Town.

Their secret ingredients? Friendly faces and attention.

Everything is crafted with purpose and love; to seal the experience even further they’ve recently revamped the space.

Expect a new flow and feel but the same great taste.

The revamp includes a more extensive menu, initially designed for 'grab-and-go', but now includes options for sit-down diners.

Call it the best of both worlds and the opportunity for you to pause amid the rush.

The menu will be updated monthly to keep it seasonal and exciting.

Must-try items are the New York Wheels, a massive hit.

The croissant wheels filled with rich chocolate ganache and draped in dark chocolate with cocoa nibs are not something you typically find in Cape Town.

For those seeking a zesty twist, a lemon curd version topped with Italian meringue is also available. They are made fresh every morning.

Their chocolate and almond croissants, along with a selection of cakes, salads, and fresh Sun Life juices, are not to be missed either. It offers something for everyone – sweet or savoury.

Native Coffee Roasters operation hours:

Open daily from 06:30 am -10 pm
