Govt to highlight fight against HIV/AIDS ahead of World Aids Day

JOHANNESBURG - Government says it will continue to highlight the fight against HIV and AIDS in South Africa ahead of World Aids Day on Sunday. 

Deputy President Paul Mashatile will be the keynote speaker at the official event in Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape.

Mashatile's acting spokesperson, Keith Khoza said that the event will be used to mobilise society. 

"With this event coming annually, it is to have a day where we continue mobilising society but also use it as a platform to report back on what the government and its partners in civil society and private society have been doing in dealing in with the tide of HIV," Khoza said.
