Former ANC PEC member and ex-Jozini mayor Bethuel Mthethwa ditches ANC for MKP

DURBAN - Former African National Congress (ANC) KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) member Bethuel Mthethwa has ditched the party for the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.
Mthethwa is also the former mayor of the Jozini local municipality, in northern KZN.
The ANC said he leaves the party facing corruption allegations.

“Mr Mthethwa was on step-aside following his accusation of crime and corruption which stems back from when he was still the Mayor of the Jozini Local Municipality,” said ANC provincial spokesperson, Mafika Mndebele:
Mndebele said the ANC is focusing on rebuilding itself.
“While we wish Mr Mthethwa well in his new political home, we reiterate that the ANC remains focused on its mission to rebuild and restore trust among South Africans.”
