JOHANNESBURG - The man who allegedly shot and killed his Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) officer girlfriend is expected to appear in court on Friday.
Constable Ramabele Mothapo was murdered on Christmas Eve at her home in Lotus Gardens, west of Pretoria.
Her former lover is expected to make his first appearance in the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Friday.
A day before Christmas, Mothapo’s life was cut short, allegedly by her boyfriend.
According to TMPD, shortly after the shooting, the boyfriend fled Pretoria to Limpopo with Mothapo’s car.
However, he was later apprehended by police on the same day.
The TMPD described Mothapo as a dedicated officer.
Prior to her death, Mothapo had just over a decade of service in the metro police department.
