Energy drinks have become easily accessible, but that doesn’t mean they’re good for you.
People use these drinks for a short-term boost.
The long-term effects could, however, be more serious than you realise due to their high sugar and caffeine content, says Altmann.
“An energy drink is high caffeine; that’s the whole point [but] a specific amount [of caffeine] can create heart and liver issues.”

Before deciding to grab a can at your nearest shop, take some time to evaluate its artificial sweetener, sugar, and caffeine content.
Consider looking for more natural, healthy energy drinks such as teas or pressed juices.
