DFFE Minister Dion George said he would be focusing on more anti-poaching initiatives this year.

"I want to commend Alderman JP Smith, MMC for Safety and Security in the City of Cape Town and his team, for intercepting abalone poachers in Hout Bay. Their actions resulted in the arrest of a suspect and the retrieval of 250kg of poached abalone."
