JOHANNESBURG - Residents of Limpopo are being warned about a possible increase in the risk of malaria transmissions in the province.
This follows heavy rains there over the last few weeks which the provincial health department said had created a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
The department said it had put measures in place to protect people.
"We also want to encourage the public to play their role in preventing malaria, by allowing malaria control personnel to spray their homes," said department spokesperson, Neli Shikwwambana.
