Mpumalanga police say more arrests linked to torching of Putco buses imminent

JOHANNESBURG - Police in Mpumalanga said more arrests are imminent in relation to the torching of at least 51 Putco buses on Monday evening.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the arson attack.

A group of assailants stormed depots in the Nkangala district, setting buses alight and damaging infrastructure.
A security guard was shot and wounded, while two employees were injured during an assault.
The bus operator has blamed the violence on ongoing tensions with the taxi industry over routes.
