Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has officially resigned from the EFF, adding to the growing list of high-profile departures from the party. His exit follows Floyd Shivambu, Dali Mpofu, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, and Mzwanele Manyi — all of whom have since joined Jacob Zuma’s MK party. Ndlozi’s move comes after months of speculation about his political future.
Last year has seen an exodus of some of the party's senior and most high-profile members.
Breakfast says he's not at all surprised by these recent developments.
"I saw it coming. I think the writing was on the wall."

Breakfast says the current situation had likely become 'unbearable' for Ndlozi.
The final straw, he says, was failing to disclose to Julius Malema, Floyd Shivambu's plans to leave the party.
"Even himself... He does acknowledge that he was put on suspension six weeks before the conference, so you can see, that this was a purge."

It's a blow, says Breakfast, given Ndlozi's history in the party and one that will come with blow-back.
Others are likely to follow him, adds Breakfast.
"This is a person who has contributed to the growth of the party, who was with the party from day one."

And so what of the future of the future of the party?
Does Julius Malema need to scrutinize his leadership style to prevent the exodus of more members of the EFF, asks Johnson.
"Malema does have strong points. You must remember he was politically baptized at a tender age in the ANC."

"It's just that he's a very intolerant person, very opposed to people who are questioning him... and that does stifle growth."
