Masemola assures victims of Zanzou nightclub torture that witness protection will be made available

JOHANNESBURG - National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola has assured the victims of the Zanzou nightclub torture that witness protection will be made available to them.

Although police have launched a manhunt for eight suspects believed to be involved in the incident only one of them has been arrested so far.
Speaking at a media briefing on Friday, Masemola said police are committed to protecting the victims.
"At this stage, we haven't got any victims that want to go to witness protection but those that will be requesting, we will provide it. We are still looking for others and we will be making arrests in due course."
