JOHANNESBURG - Justice Minister Mamoloko Kubayi has given officials at the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court until the end of business to secure and tidy up the room where GBV files are kept.
Kubayi and Deputy Minister Andries Nel visited the court on Thursday amid claims of corruption and mismanagement.
She said that the state of record-keeping in the court was shocking.
"It's not what one can hide, these are weaknesses. These are confirmatory to what allegations are there."
Kubayi has also called for cameras to be installed in a strongroom where charge sheets are kept amid allegations that the cleaners are sometimes bribed to steal documents.
