Abubaker Adams has been linked to the crime and made his first appearance in the same court on Tuesday.

CAPE TOWN - One of the alleged shooters linked to the shooting at the Wynberg Magistrates Court has been identified as Abubaker Adams.

A 50-year-old murder-accused taxi operator from Vrygrond was killed at the court two weeks ago.

Adams has been linked to the crime and made his first appearance in the same court on Tuesday.

Adams emerged from the holding cells wearing an olive-green jacket covering part of his face.

He stood in the dock surrounded by armed policemen.

The prosecution told the court that there were witnesses and surveillance footage putting Adams at the crime scene as one of the suspects who shot and killed a 50-year-old murder accused inside the court premises earlier in April.

He'll be back at the same court on Wednesday to join his co-accused and alleged mastermind, Shireen Mathews, who was arrested shortly after the fatal shooting.

The second gunman is still at large.
