Remains of 2 people believed to be missing Aserie Ndlovu, Zodwa Mdhluli found - Masemola
While the remains are believed to be that of Ndlovu and Mdhluli, National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola said that DNA tests must still be done to confirm their identities.
JOHANNESBURG - Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola said that the remains of two people believed to be the missing journalist and his partner have been found.
Pretoria-based Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli, disappeared in February this year.
They were last seen in Mamelodi, east of Pretoria.
Masemola confirmed the discovery on Thursday on the sidelines of the funeral of one of the three constables who died in a horrific crash in the Hennops River.

He said they were led to the remains in an area in Tshwane by one of the suspects arrested for alleged kidnapping and hijacking in the couple’s disappearance.
"One of the suspects did point out but not exactly there but he did point out and we researched the area and we found the remains. We didn’t take ourselves there."
While the remains are believed to be that of Ndlovu and Mdhluli, Masemola said that DNA tests must still be done to confirm their identities.
"The process with the human remains that were found, they will be taken to the pathologists, we will take the DNA and process it with the closest relatives to determine the identity of those remains."
