JOHANNESBURG - Disgraced doctor Nandipha Magudumana will learn her fate on Friday as the Supreme Court of Appeal is set to hand down judgement on her extradition and arrest.
Magudumana was apprehended in Tanzania in 2023 while on the run with her lover and accomplice, convicted murderer Thabo Betser.
She is accused of helping Bester escape from the Mangaung prison where he was serving a life sentence.

In her failed bid before the Free State High Court, Magudumana argued that police abducted her from Tanzania in a disguised extradition, which was unlawful.
But the high court ruled that Magudumana consented to her return to South Africa, as she wanted to return to her children.
The court also noted how Magudumana offered no resistance to home affairs officials during her arrest.
She escalated her bid to the Supreme Court of Appeal last year.
Magudumana wants the appeals court to declare her arrest unlawful.
