WASHINGTON - Ecominci Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has reacted to US president Donald Trump using visuals of him in parliament and at rallies in a bid to prove his false narrative that white people are under siege in South Africa.
Trump brought out a TV screen when quizzed about his claims that bad things were happening in South Africa.
President Cyril Ramaphosa was at the White House meeting with Trump over bilateral and geopolitical matters.
While Ramaphosa handled the attacks well, it was EFF leader Julius Malema - who wasn’t there to speak for himself, but made it onto the global agenda
Malema took to social media, criticising 'old men who have gathered in Washington to gossip about him'.
He said there was 'no significant amount of intelligent evidence produced' about a so-called white genocide.
He reiterated that there will never be an agreement or compromise on the issue of land expropriation.
In the meantime, Ramaphosa and Trump are continuing with their meeting, which includes a working lunch and talks behind closed doors.
A group of older men meet in Washington to gossip about me. No significant amount of intelligence evidence has been produced about white genocide. We will not agree to compromise our political principles on land expropriation without compensation for political expediency.
