CAPE TOWN - Emergency teams are still on site where clean-up operations have started at the scene of an accident in Worcester.
Five people, including three children, died following an accident earlier in the morning.
Three others sustained critical injuries.
A long-distance taxi travelling from the Eastern Cape to Hermanus collided with a truck on the R60.
Clothing, luggage bags, food, glass shards blood were strewn across the R60 between Worcester and Robertson in the aftermath of the accident.
Police said a case of culpable homicide was being investigated with no arrests as of Friday morning.
The road, which was closed earlier in the day, has since been reopened, but motorists have been advised to drive with caution.
