JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Water is warning residents in parts of Gauteng to brace for 10 hours of low water pressure as maintenance work is conducted on Tuesday.

Maintenance will be conducted on the Palmiet Water System, which will impact reservoirs in Alex, Sandton, Midrand and Linksfield.

The utility’s spokesperson, Nombuso Shabalala, says the water reduction will begin at 6am on Tuesday.

“Johannesburg Water will make alternative water arrangements for all the affected areas through stationary and roaming water tankers.”
