PRETORIA - President Cyril Ramaphosa is yet to receive a report from Higher Education Minister Nobuhle Nkabane regarding improper conduct in Parliament.
Last week, video footage of Nkabane eating during a Higher Education portfolio committee session went viral on social media platforms.
The shocking behaviour was compounded by her dismissive responses to questions from members of parliament.
Nkabane initially defended her actions following public outrage, but the president was equally baffled by her behaviour.
On Tuesday, Ramaphosa told journalists in Pretoria that the report hadn’t landed on his desk.

Nkabande made a faux pas by responding to questions with food in her mouth in Parliament, raising eyebrows.
The minister later justified her actions, saying the chairperson of the Higher Education portfolio committee allowed members to nibble on snacks during the meeting.
However, this has not only frustrated other members of Parliament (MPs), but it has seemingly also ticked off her boss.
Ramaphosa says Nkabane is yet to explain her version of events.
“I have not received a report from the Minister of Education. She is meant to give me a report. She has received a letter from me, so that is still underway. When it happens, we will communicate that, and what it is that we need to do moving forward.”
Nkabane will also account for appointing politically connected people to the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) board.
