SA Weather Service warns of Western Cape cold snap

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a warning of a cold snap making landfall in the Western Cape in the coming week.
The national forecaster says residents in the province can expect strong, damaging winds, heavy rainfall, as well as winds and waves along the coast.
Forecaster Tokelo Chiloane says the cold front will not have an impact on Gauteng.
“There is a cold front that is going to make landfall in the Western Cape on Wednesday. However, this cold front will not make an impact over Gauteng province in terms of rainfall. We will get some drop in temperatures from Thursday and Friday and some windy conditions.”
