EC’s Ngqeleni accident claims 3 lives, leaves 2 in critical condition

JOHANNESBURG - An accident in Ngqeleni, Eastern Cape, has claimed the lives of three people and left two people in a critical condition.

It is understood that a bakkie transporting school teachers to work on Tuesday morning was involved in a crash.

The provincial transport spokesperson Unathi Binqose said the circumstances around the incident are under investigation.

“A very unfortunate and a very tragic incident that claimed the lives of three people. These were teachers on their way to school, people who had a meaningful role to play in our society, whose lives were cut short in the blink of an eye.”
