6 killed in Mpumalanga crash

JOHANNESBURG - Six people have died in a major crash in Mpumalanga.
According to the provincial Department of Community Safety, a BMW and a VW sedan collided on the R23 between Greylingstad and Val on Friday night.
All the passengers who were in the two vehicles died on the scene.
Community Safety spokesperson Moeti Mmusi said the cause of the incident is still unknown.
“However, based on the scene’s situational analysis, it is suspected that contraventions of the rules, excessive speeding, and dangerous overtaking may have caused the collision. The investigation into the crash commenced last [Friday] night.”
