JOHANNESBURG - An accused in the Senzo Meyiwa trial has shown the Pretoria High Court the exact location where he claims police assaulted him.
An inspection in loco took place on Friday.
The court spent the day in Vosloorus at a municipal precinct where Muzi Sibiya claims police assaulted him in May 2020 for him to confess to Meyiwa’s murder.
He claims he was brought back to the area days later to be allegedly tortured once more.
The court came back from recess to inspect part of the testimony by the lead investigator, Brigadier Bongani Gininda.
On Friday, Sibiya, who wore leg irons, sat down on the ground, re-enacting the alleged assault.
