Family of late Deputy President David Mabuza struggling to come to terms with his passing

BARBERTON -The family of the late former Deputy President David Mabuza says it is still struggling to come to terms with his sudden passing.
Mabuza died at a hospital in Sandton on Thursday following a brief illness.
His family has confirmed that he will be laid to rest on Saturday, 12 July 2025.
Although the family has confirmed the date of his funeral, they say his final resting place has not yet been decided.
The funeral will be organised jointly by the family, government and the African National Congress (ANC).

Speaking on Saturday outside Mabuza’s home in Barberton, Mpumalanga, family spokesperson Desmond Moela said mourning his unexpected death has been painful.
“The family is still trying to come to terms with what has happened. However, they are trying by all means to remain strong and make sure the programme runs smoothly. Remember, the former deputy president was a very loving and caring person.”
