Jayden-Lee Meek remembered as a quiet child who loved to laugh

JOHANNESBURG - Slain 11-year-old Jayden Lee Meek has been remembered as a quiet child who loved to laugh.
In May, the young boy was found murdered outside his home, at a residential complex in Fleurhof, Johannesburg.
His mother, Tiffany-Nicole Meek, made her first appearance in court earlier, after being linked to her son's murder.

The court was packed with family and community members, who are still shocked and angered by the case.
Accompanied by their parents, some of Jayden-Lee's young friends were also there and shared their grief.
“That hurts people's feelings. Because why would you do that to your own son? That was an innocent day. And it's not going to be like another day. What are we going to know? Does it happen? She needs to be punished. But the point is, it's hurting me.”
Tiffany Nicole Meek is set to return to court on Friday.
