JOHANNESBURG - The mother of slain 11-year-old Jayden-Lee Meek is set to appear before the Roodepoort Magistrates Court for a bail application on Friday morning.
Tiffany Nicole-Meek was arrested a week ago after being linked to the murder of her son.
The arrest came two months after the young boy's naked body was discovered in front of his family unit at a residential complex in Fleurhof.
His mother had reported him missing, claiming he did not return home from school in May.
As the week began, Jayden-Lee Meek's family, alongside members of the Fleurhof community, filled the Roodepoort Magistrates Court in anticipation of the suspect’s first appearance.
Tiffany took to the stand, her face concealed behind a mask.
Some of the community members shared with Eyewitness News that they were still in disbelief over what Meek had allegedly done to her son.
She has been charged with multiple counts, including murder.
