CT police probing 2 murder counts, 3 attempted murder counts after Goodwood shooting

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town police are investigating two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder following a shooting in Goodwood.

It's understood a group of men were travelling in a vehicle along Voortrekker Road on Saturday when they came under fire.

The motive for the incident is believed to be gang-related.

Police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi said the suspects managed to flee the scene and are still at large.

“Two men did not survive the onslaught on their lives, whilst two others were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, and another male escaped unharmed.”
