Kowa was laid to rest in the Eastern Cape last week Saturday.
The community of Khayelitsha has made its position clear on Odwa Jack and Nokuthula Matyeseni that they are no longer welcomed as residents of the area anymore.
Last week, the couple’s home went up in flames and was razed to the ground; however, it’s not clear how the fire started.
Community members have also signed a petition, which they gave to the court, asking for bail to be denied.
Kowa's uncle Lucky Sikade, said the family is touched by the support it's received.
The pair are facing kidnapping, rape, and murder charges.
