JOHANNESBURG - Rise Mzansi leader Songezo Zibi has hailed his party for what he described as its hard work in Parliament over the past year.
The party is reflecting on its first 12 months in the National Assembly on Monday.
It said that it had made a meaningful contribution despite operating with limited resources.
Rise Mzansi is one of ten parties that form part of the Government of National Unity (GNU), holding two seats in Parliament.
Zibi said that the party had achieved a great deal in a short space of time.
"We set out to try and be as effective as possible, even though we are, obviously, a small caucus in Parliament. We lobbied significantly for a role I have as the chair of SCOPA and we are using it to drive more effective government."
