SASSA confirms grant payment dates for September 2025

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the official payment schedule for September:

• Old age grant: Tuesday, 2 September 2025
• Disability grant: Wednesday, 3 September 2025
• Child and all other grants: Thursday, 4 September 2025

SASSA urges beneficiaries to refrain from rushing to withdraw their grant all at once on the first day.

Instead, withdraw funds gradually as needed, or use your SASSA card to pay for goods and services directly.

This helps prevent overcrowding at pay points and ATMs and reduces the risk of theft when carrying large amounts of cash.
