CAPE TOWN - Some minibus taxi drivers from Cape Town taxi association CATA say they fear for their lives with all the deadly shootings that have been happening in the city.
At least five people have been killed, and three others, including passengers wounded in taxi-related shootings this week.
The shootings are linked to a feud between rival taxi associations CATA and CODETA over routes between Somerset West, Mfuleni and Khayelitsha.
Talks to end the bloodbath are expected to resume soon.

The recent escalation of violence between CATA and CODETA has resulted in the death of four taxi drivers at taxi ranks in Philippi East, Khayelitsha, and Macassar earlier this week.
CATA taxi driver, Ntsikelelo Moshani, told EWN that they've been looking over their shoulders since.
"We don't feel safe as drivers with everything that's been going on because we're the ones driving these taxis."
Moshani added it would be better if CODETA left their rank in Somerset West.
"We feel like them being here is the cause of all this mess."
Operations have resumed at the Somerset West taxi rank after police shut it down on Tuesday for 24 hours.
