JOHANNESBURG - Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said the country has been left with a void following the passing of EWN’s politics associate editor, Tshidi Madia.
Ntshavheni described Madia as extraordinary, with a strong personality and a remarkable work ethic.

Ntshavheni visited the Madia family on Thursday night in Leondale on Johannesburg’s East Rand.
Speaking about the journalist, she described Madia as a patriot in the press.
She said Madia's approach to journalism was fearless, principled and respectful.
Ntshavheni said Madia was focused on holding those in power to account.
"It is a great loss. We have requested God to receive her beautiful soul. We are going to miss her dearly, both as government but also as ordinary South Africans. She carried our message."
She said it was important to visit her family home because Madia was more than a journalist but someone who impacted many lives.
