Thousands of redheads from across the globe lit up the city of Tilburg in the Netherlands this past weekend.
The Dutch city played host to the world’s largest Redhead Festival.
Gingers showed off their fiery locks in a celebration of red hair, identity, and community.

"Attendees come from some 80 countries to join in the three-day event."

The event included makeup workshops and information sessions related to the prevention of skin cancer.
Redheads are far more at risk for skin cancer than the general population.
"In 2013, they got into the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people with natural red hair with 1,672 people."

But despite celebrating all things redhead, Friedman says all are welcome at the festival.
